The ZeeZee Fund

ZeeZee On Christmas morning ZeeZee Preston, an Anaheim resident, died a violent death. Her husband of less than two months is charged with first degree murder. She leaves behind two daughters, ages 8 and 3 and a newborn 7-week-old son. Having witnessed the event that took their mother's life, only God knows how their lives will be affected.

 
You may have read this story in the news and thought “how tragic,” and then moved on to another story. What you may not have known was that ZeeZee was a client of Eli and on three separate occasions, ZeeZee had planned to finally make the decision to leave the violence and move into The Eli Home shelter.  But each time, she convinced herself and others that she could handle the situation and things were going to change for the better. Sadly, the violence escalated and ZeeZee lost any chance to see that change.

ZeeZee was a beautiful young woman who loved to dance ballet.  She loved pink, loved her children and loved God. 
 
At the request of her family, The Eli Home is handling ZeeZee’s funeral and burial arrangements. Services will be held on Saturday, January 7th. We have established the “The ZeeZee Fund” to pay for the funeral expenses and the immediate needs of her three devastated children.
